Why Chinese Oolong Tea?

Tea Leaves

Today I decided to give Chinese Oolong tea a try. My selection was Twinings China Oolong tea, light flavor strength.

This tea is mainly from the Fugian Province in China.

When you open the box you can smell a slightly sweet aroma.

That sweet smell is because this tea is partially oxidized and this gives the tea its red type color and light sweet flavor.

The tea bags in this box were individually wrapped and had a string and tag attached. An added convenience when traveling as they stay nice and fresh:)
The directions were to pour boiled water over the teabag. Then brew for 2 – 5 minutes.

I brewed my tea for 2 minutes and added some sugar. I was impressed with this tea and flavor.

It was not something I was used to and I am glad to add it to my collection of tea.

Please note that the product description and information is my experience at the time of my review. The actual product packaging and materials may contain more and different information than what is shown on this website and in my review.

You never know when the product manufacturer will change packaging or ingredients :)
