English Breakfast Tea

Cakes Stand

My new tea to drink today is Twinnings English Breakfast Tea. It is a very hot day but in the air conditioned room it is well...the perfect drink to take a break and relax.

On the box the tea it is described as “traditionally blended with Kenyan & Assam black teas”. The strength is of medium flavor.

When you open the box you can smell a rich aroma. The tea bags in this box were individually wrapped and had a string and tag attached.

The aroma when the box was opened was great. I always like the smell of a new box of tea.

The directions were to pour boiling water over the tea bag. Then allow it to brew for 2 -5 minutes. I broke tradition and put the water in the microwave.

I let my tea brew for 2 minutes and used sugar and no milk. You can brew it longer if you like.

The tea has a smooth taste and is one that I can drink without milk. I did use sugar but I felt I did not have to, it was that good. You can use milk to taste.

The box states that Twinnings originally blended this tea to go along with a hearty breakfast. I think this tea stands up to its reputation.
