French Tea Towels - A Touch of France
French tea towels are popular as souvenirs. They make great kitchen accessories. When I was in France, I bought cute towels of the Eiffel Tower. Actually, I buy them in any country I go to as my remembrance of the place. I like the fact that the towels are absorbent, and great for drying dishes, platters, glasses, and cutlery. They are not just for wiping your dishes though. They can be used to cover food while bringing it to the table or as a decorative piece hanging on the wall. It depends on what you like. If you are using them as a way of remembering your trip, there are so many designs to choose from or to give as gifts. Here are some of the decorative tea towels I have found: 1. The Eiffel Tower 2. The Arch de Triomphe 3. Versailles 4. Montmartre 5. The Louvre museum
Other popular designs are of: 1. Flowers 2. Grapes 3. Cheese and wine 4. French countryside When I look at my tea towel that I bought while in France, it reminds me of the hotel that my sister and I were guests at. In the morning you could smell the fresh croissants being served. It is a nice memory. Lost and Found in France It also reminds me that we forgot the name of the hotel where we were staying. We merrily went along our way one morning and went sightseeing. When it was time to return to the hotel we had a little problem. Where was it and what was the name? All we could remember was that part of the name of the hotel was "Eiffel". Not a big help since many places in France have Eiffel in the name. With no hotel address or number we started to become concerned. We hired a taxi and the driver was great. He listened as we described the hotel and area and he delivered us right to the front door. We hired him again to take us to the airport. Take a Look at What We Found
