So you want to remember your visit to France. Who wouldn't... yet you want something different, easy to pack and carry home.

As you stroll around looking in stores for souvenirs to take home, consider tea towels with designs on them of places you visited in France.

You might be lucky to find one that was hand-made and has a story behind it.  A vintage one that is slightly worn would be nice and imagine the history it has scene.  If only it could talk.

Uses

• Depending on the towels, it can be very absorbent and great for drying dishes, platters, glasses, and cutlery.
  
  
• They are not just for wiping your dishes though. They can be used to cover food while bringing it to the table or as a decorative piece hanging on the wall. It depends on what you like.

My Story

When I look at my tea towel that I bought while in France, it reminds me of the hotel that my sister and I were guests at.

In the morning you could smell the fresh croissants being served. It is a nice memory.

Lost and Found in France

Have you ever just forgotten the name of the hotel you are staying at?  It happened to me when in France. We merrily went along our way one morning and went sightseeing.

When it was time to return to the hotel we had a little problem. Where was it and what was the name?

All we could remember was that part of the name of the hotel was "Eiffel".

Not a big help since many places in France have Eiffel in the name. With no hotel address or number we started to become concerned.

We hired a taxi and the driver was great. He listened as we described the hotel and area and he delivered us right to the front door. We hired him again to take us to the airport.

It would have been nice to find a towel with a taxi cab on it before we left!
