A Green Tea Kettle
I like using a green tea kettle. I like the color and it matches the theme of green tea! How about a red kettle for Valentine's Day? Think of the possibilities (now back to reality:). The correct kettle can make the difference when you are making green tea. This is a light tea that needs to brew at a lower temperature than other teas. When green tea is brewed at the right temperature it has a smooth flavor. A kettle with a temperature setting allows you to brew the tea at the right temperature. If you chose to make green tea with a kettle, look for one that allows you to set the temperature.
How to Brew a Perfect Cup of Green Tea1. Using a temperature adjustable kettle set your temperature. I usually set it to 170 degrees Fahrenheit depending on the quality of green tea being brewed. 2. While the water is warming set up your teapot and green tea leaves. 3. Green tea leaves are compact so they need room to expand while the tea is brewing. Most tea strainers do not have large enough infusers to allow for this expansion. It is a good idea to use a Japanese tea pot with an infuser that goes around the pot. This will allow for the full expansion of the tea leaves 4. Rinse your teapot with warm water to preheat it. 5. For every 8 ounce cup of tea you desire put one heaping teaspoon of green tea into the infuser. 6. When the water is heated to the right temperature pour the correct amount of water into the teapot, set in the infuser, place the top on the teapot and allow your tea to brew. Having a kettle that heats your water to exactly 170 degrees Fahrenheit will take the guess work out of making your green tea. Here Is Something You May Like:
