Russian Tea Recipe with a Citrus Flavor
Looking for a Russian tea recipe? This one is a delicious concoction of water, juice, and tangy herbs. It is commonly associated with the holiday season due to the inclusion of cinnamon and cloves in the recipe. Of course it can be used all year. To Brew Russian Tea 1. Begin by boiling approximately 8 cups of water. Once the water has reached a boil add 1/4 cup of sugar, a tablespoon of cloves, and several cinnamon sticks broken down to size. 2. Allow the mixture to simmer for around a half hour, then strain into a gallon jug or container. 3. In a separate pot, add four bags of black tea to around 2 cups of water and bring to a boil. 4. Once the tea in the pot has steeped, remove tea bags and add the steeped liquid to the gallon container. 5. Once you have consolidated the water and the tea, add a can of frozen orange juice, a can of frozen lemonade, and 3/4 cups of pineapple juice to the mixture. I have found that the frozen juices melt very quickly. This is because there is so much more hot water proportionate to the cold juices in the mixture. So I think there usually isn't really a need to reheat it. If the mixture does cool too much for your taste, you can reheat it. Now add to your perfect Russian tea a few lemon or orange wedges for garnish. The sweet yet tangy beverage is now ready to be served hot, for any occasion.
