My Tea Reviews Adventure
Well, here I am at the beginning of my new tea reviews tasting adventure. I decided that with the variety of tea available, I just had to branch out from the regular type black tea I usually drink. Time to learn and grow:) Here are just a few of the teas that I am going to give my two cents about: 1. Silver needle tea 2. English breakfast tea 3. Celestial seasonings tea 4. Rishi tea Let The Tea Reviews Begin Today I bought Celestial Seasonings Tea - Green Decaffeinated, with Mandarin Orchard. What first caught my eye on the box was the Mandarin orange flavor which I love. On the box of tea it lists the ingredients as:
1. Decaffeinated white tea. 2. Decaffeinated green tea. 3. Natural Mandarin orange and Passion Fruit Flavors. 4. Orange peel, lemon and verbena and coriander. An interesting mix, I think. 1. The box is nicely decorated and when opened you can smell a whiff of orange. 2. The tea bags in this box were shaped like a pillow. 3. The tea bags do not have a string or tag and are made of natural fibers. On the box was an interesting tidbit. Did you know that Mandarin oranges were first exported from Tangiers, Morocco? This is why they are sometimes called tangerines. I had no idea..I need to get out more:)
The directions were to use hot water and not boiling. So, I had to start over because I boiled the heck out of the water. I began again with hot, not boiling water, and put the tea bag in for 2 minutes. I did put a bit of sugar in the tea and let it cool a bit. The result was a fabulous, smooth tasting cup of tea, perfect for me before bedtime since it is decaffeinated. I would also drink it during the day as well. Please note that the product description and information is my experience at the time of my review. The actual product packaging and materials may contain more and different information than what is shown on this website and in my review.
