The Glass Tea Pot

Glass Tea Pot

A glass tea pot will add an elegant ambiance to your tea time.

I think tea is one of simple enjoyment and a wonderful time for entertaining friends and family.

You can add a collection of these tea pots for finesse at tea time.

Styles

Different styles and uses will surprise you a great deal. It will inspire you to add to your collection.

  • Clear or light colored glass tea pots allow you to keep an eye on the color. This determines the strength of your tea. You do not want to over brew your tea.

The clear glass will help you with the potency of your tea. Each kind of tea has flavor or essence that has special strengths. They will need different brewing times.

  • When you are shopping for a glass pot make sure to read the instructions. Some may or may not be able to be used on a stove top. Read to see if it is microwave and dishwasher safe before using in such ways.

Another feature to look for is stay-cool handles as this will help when you use the glass pot in the microwave.

  • tealeaves
  • Hand blown glass is very common and easy to find, when shopping for in a kitchen store or on the internet.

You can find the options in clear glass with colored lids and handles.

Handles can have different shapes such as a heart or a piece of fruit.

The lid of the tea pot will match the handle in most cases.

You can also find them with hand painted pictures or designs to match your decor.

  • A glass tea pot should be long lasting and easy to clean.

A simple way to clean your tea pot is to:

    1. Put cool water in the bottom (do not fill to the top)

    2. Add a handful of ice cubes, three slices of lemon or a little bit of lemon juice.

    3. Swirl around in a circle motion.

    4. Then rinse out with warm or hot water.

This will help with keeping the soap taste and smell out of your tea pot. Then dry out completely with a paper towel before replacing the lid.

Why not use your tea pot for decoration?

Add an arrangement of flowers to your tea pot. Place it on the middle of your kitchen table.

It will add elegance to your room and be a conversation piece.

If you need a potpourri pot you can warm up the water. Then add your potpourri and enjoy the smell for hours.

You can also use dry fragrant infused potpourri that does not need water added or warmed up.
