Planning One?
Tea party ideas are so many and amazing.
There are some many themes that you can choose.
Use your imagination as they can be anything you would like. Make it as simple or complex as you want. (I tend to enjoy the simple style).

I think the most important thing is to have fun. The kids can have hot chocolate at their party.
Inviting The Parents
If they parents are invited to the fun, I like to set up an adult tea experience for them.
Starting with finger food, cake, biscuits and choices of tea.
The parents really enjoy this break and have a mini event for themselves while the kids
are having fun at theirs.
Shower
At a baby shower, the favorite color or baby item of the mom-to-be can be used as a theme.
Bridal
At a bridal party you can match the bride's theme and color to the party. What does the bride like and tie it in to the event.
If you want to be formal, matching tablecloths, linens and classical music in the background would be a nice touch served with various cakes, scones, tiny sandwiches and jams.
My young nieces like their miniature tea cups which are really tiny but we manage to use them for tea.
My nephew loved the formal tea we went to (it was my birthday) which really surprised me as he was only six at the time.
He had the kids tea menu which included hot chocolate, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with the ends cut off and small cookies and cakes.
